2022 Starts with a Bang!

Here we go in in 2022. Off to a start with a bang…literally! Track Day at AMP, and Frank was cheap on his tires and lost the rear end on Turn 1. Shoulder surgery now is scheduled for 2/17. Would I do it again…ABSOLUTELY!

Look, motorcycling is a passion, and with it comes risks, but the stupidity here is in trying to get an extra track days on tires that were already worn…Lesson Learned. We had fun, and that is all that matters.

Karissa was there, Tim was celebrating his birthday, and Steve was out riding.

MotoGP Catalunya 2019

Karin, the girls, and I flew to Barcelona. Katie and Mark drove the 1968 VW Van from London to Barcelona. We stayed at a little home built in the 17th century. Words cannot fully describe this trip.

Mark and I rented a Triumph Scrambler 900 and a Moto Guzzi v7iii Stone. What a blast while riding through Catalunya seeing things that most tourists will never see.

We ate tapas most nights, cooked in the house, walked along the hills in moonlight. We drank wine like locals, and enjoyed a real experience.

I want to make sure to give a shout-out to Retro Rides in Barcelona. AMAZING service and support, and the bikes were in great shape. Philip, the owner, is a true motorcyclist. If you are ever in Barcelona, look him up, and support his business.

One phrase that will for ever be etched in our memories is, “Karin, get on the pole!” If you ever have the chance to chat with Katie, Mark, Karin, or myself, I have no doubt that any of us will be able to fill in the context and details, but be prepared for the laughter and tears of joy…

COTA 2018

This post is a bit dated already, but we started the website after our trip...

So we did it!  We put on just over 2300 miles roundtrip from Phoenix to Austin to watch MotoGP this year.  This was Katie's first long trip, and she rode her Triumph Street Triple while Karin pulled the toy hauler with her pickup along with Karissa and Kaitlyn.  The guys and I rode late at night through a thunderstorm east of El Paso, and boy what an experience.  We made it to Austin in one piece, and we enjoyed our time there.  It was Kaitlyn and Karissa's first time at MotoGP, and it was definitely a memory that they will never forget.  Kaitlyn got Marquez to sign her helmet.

We will be heading to Laguna in June...keep an eye out for us!
